help please !!!!!
so whenever i try to play fallout new vegas i get this error.. .falloutnvlauncher.exe entry point not found steamremotestorage could not be located in the dynamic link library steam_api.dll.what does this mean and how do i fix this.. please help. i have already redownloaded the game one and still nothing

From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.

Important: One or more files may fail to verify.

This is normal for most Steam games. The files that fail to verify are local configuration files that should not be replaced as part of this process. You can safely ignore this message.


Do you have a valid copy of the game?

i did what u said and it said 3 files failed to validate and will be reaquired. and yes ii bought this game from steam yesterday

unfortunatly noo. :( i do get an error when i launch from the desktop icon saying falkloutnv.exe-entry point not found

ok so i try running the game from the launcher inside steamapps common fallout new vegas. it lt loads to the start screen and when i press play an error comes up. falloutnv.exe-bad image. c:\windows\system32\XINPUT_32.dll is either noy designed to run on windows or it contains an error. plz help i would really appreciate it.

ok so i went into the path that it showed and the XINPUT1_3.dll file and a little gold lock on it. im thinking this is my problem..???

Go to this microsoft site and install Directx from there. Restart your computer

maybe you could uninstall and redownload Fallout NV.
I don't know if that'll work but it's worth a try.

i have already redownloadid it. and nothing. i am running as admin and i have it in the correct compatibility mode.
