Filled with malware
Most of those mods have predatory malware or spyware attached to the downloads, just spent a whole day removing optimizer pro, and avasti after trying to download the schoolhouse mod, and the briefcase bomb mod, the site hosting these mods is rife with potentially malicious and aggressive downloads not associated with the mod. If they police this up the mods look to be quite nice but as for the link provided there are other alterantive sites that dont have the risk..

Avoid nexus mods until they remove all the malware and spyware programs. What makes them difficult to remove is the fact that any anti virus software that you try to use to remove them will swear up and down that they are not a threat but will slow your computer down and if you dont pay attention will crash your computer or attach to numerous files in your control panel. the only one that was easy to remove was avasti because they offer a uninstall feature on their website, optimizer pro was not so easy ..

Thats funny because I've been using the Nexus for YEARS and I've never run into any trouble with it.

Agreed. I've been using the site since 2007 without incident. Methinks the OP has been surfing the naughty-naughty websites and picked up a bug there.

Not the mods, there is potential malware and spy ware floating around the site that needs to be checked, new guys would just download and blame the mod, but the problem comes during the download for some of this stuff when all the pop ups start coming, there should be a straight download manager on the site to prevent unwanted advertising during the download process

Nah first computer project was on a Cray,
I don't use the manager. I download and install the old fashioned way. I guess that why I don't see popups when I download the files.

The official Nexus Mod Manager doesnt have advertisments.
Also if you have to deal with so many advertisements on the nexus site itself, just get adblock.
