Do they still have it as a soda, maybe I need to look around here more. So far in California and Arizona you can get it as tea but that all I have seen for years.
But anyway back to the Andy's question apparently its even more around then I have seen
Tastes like birch beer. Maybe a little milder. Not particularly refreshing to my palate, but I also dislike soft drinks in general.
Yes. No.
Sarsaparilla is a soft drink, originally made from the Smilax regelii plant . . .
Tastes vaguely rootbeerish. Nobody drinks it out here unless you're in a tourist trap.
Sasparilla or *sassafrass*. I've seen the latter as a tea.
Nope its a tea, drink a cup every day.
Thought maybe the soda would be good as well.

Thanks
I have seen the Sioux City stuff on Amazon but not paying 50 bucks for a 12 pack.
I will look around
I've always equated sasparilla with rootbeer? Now I'm compelled to research and ultimately sample genuine sarsaparilla. Dammit andy, why do you ask such questions :)
