Also, there is no real way of forging an alliance between yourself and for instance the BoS in terms of rule over New Vegas( which is probably the most disappointing part of the Yes-Man Questline). Instead the Courier will always just rule over New Vegas on his own( with Yes Man).
The main reason for you to go to said groups is to gain potential allies for the battle/ the time during the battle/ the time shortly after or to wipe out potential long term opposition.
They'll assist you during the dam assault, then depending on how you handled them, go on their normal lives, or be better off after the dust clears. There is no continuing the game after the assault unfortuntely.
Only those that are actually able to aid you. Meaning the Great Khans, Boomers and BoS will help you(/the NCR as the GK and BoS have to be allied with them instead) if you do the required quests whereas the White Glove Society and the Omertas just strenghten your grip on the Strip( and don't interfere with the battle itself).
