Try a different browser.
Hmmm. Did it come up with a box asking to open an aplication (NMM)? Also are you on windows 7 or 8?

I get the option to start NMM but nothing happens after that (with chrome).

Not in firefox, no. I got Windows 7.
You have to open NMM before you use "install via NMM".

I did. Also, the official forums say I don't have to, am I the first in 3 years with a problem?
Is NMM updated to the currebt patch?
0.55.8 from the official site.

Can't just somebody tell me where I can get the URL to install the mod from there? :/
When i download mods form nexus i get a popup telling me "insert text here" with the option to then *launch app* which then starts the download on the NMM.

...might be a silly question, but can`t you just install the mod WITHOUT using NMM ?

Gamebryo games are incredibly easy to mod, so no, you neither need the NMM nor does it make it easier. Download the mod, drop the files where the readme tells you to, check the mod as active in the launcher, presto.

So Itake the file (The zipfile I get when I click manually download/The name of the file?) and then I look into the read me of that file or of fallout? then there should be written where I put that file there In another file in /C: or in the code?
Wow. Okay. Step by step then.

First you uncompress the .zip or .rar you downloaded.

Most mods come with a readme but in case that one doesn`t, commonly you`ll find a "data" folder and a .esm. Drop the data folder in the New Vegas install location where its own data folder exists, integrate and overwrite when prompted. Drop the .esm where all the other .esm files are, like the DLC ones.

Run the launcher and open the data... something option. It`s been a while since I last ran NV through the launcher. Check the .esm for the mod you just installed.

Run game.
