Never Use VATS

Does anyone else never use VATS? I always did on Fallout 3 on PS3 because it was harder with controller and there were no iron sights. Now that I use mouse and New Vegas has iron sights it is easier without it.

I like making VATS based characters for dropping ten guys in a single combat round like it's the matrix.

It's far less effective than my mediocre shooting skills at wiping out enemies, but hey.

I find it to be suicide or outright useless in a lot of situations because of how nerfed it was from FO3. Namely lower Hit %s overall and the fact you can actually take damage during it. (which was a good change to be sure.)

Only for taking out erraticly moving enemies that are in my face do I ever really use it.

actually you could take damage while using it in 3. any damage you take in vats is reduced in both games in 3 it was reduced by 95% (not technically invincible but close) in nv they reduced it to 25% (i think might be wrong i know its somewhere around there).

I use VATS to see how much hit point any NPC have left. Sometimes pointing the cursor at this vagabond in Freeside, and it says nothing, so I had to pull out my gun and VATS him.

Actually, Fallout 3 has a 90% damage reduction. Fallout New Vegas VATS does indeed have a 25% reduction in damage. Don't take my word for it though: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Vault-Tec_Assisted_Targeting_System

I don't use VATS much, in fact I think I'll stop using it (it is to me deplorable).

I use it sometimes with shoguns in close narrow areas like vault 34 (The one where the boomers came from with the ghouls and the huge armory, idk if 34) where they all spasm into your face.

Only really use VATS when an enemy is rushing up close on me and the aiming goes a bit wonky (majority a 3rd person player here...yeah yeah, I know...), even with camera mods to correct the aiming.
Would much rather use my AP for bullet-time or sprinting to cover (Project Nevada mod features).

Like Neutralize, I use VATS mainly for rushing enemies.

Generally, I don't like using it because it's so incredibly slow, and it's more fun to aim for yourself.

I only use it whenever I'm trying to get sneak-crits with plasma weapons. I never use it for any other guns.

I'm bothered by the fact sometimes teleport all over the place and thus making it almost impossible to shoot through sights. That's when I use VATS

It's useful for ranged sneak attack but apart from that, best avoided for the ideal experience.
