What do I do after Start Zone?

Hi I am stuck in this game already. I have completed the start zone, I went the "good" way and helped the town vs the powderkeg gang and now I am all dried up on quests, apart form the DLC and "They Went That-a-Way". There is a DLC close, but it warns I need to be 25+ to enter.

Problem is "They Went That-a-Way" is in Primm and it is full of gang members. There is a military force camped out next to it and I assume I am supposed to get their help clearing the town (or is that the other way around) anyway.. I have spoken to all the people there many times, everything is greay in their talk boxes and no help.. meanwhile I get shot to death quick as pie if I step foot over the bridge!

I am really frustrated and only a few steps away dumping this game, it is nm fun dying every 2 seconds and having literally nowhere I can go. If I go the "other" way, past the cemarary I run into giant rad scorpions and massive insects that I have zero chance of killing. I tested it in godmod, and it took all my ammo to basically take of a tiny bit of health.

Can anyone tell me what I am supposed to do here?

that is ridicules. ♥♥♥♥ doing that. Grinding mobs is beyond boring.. plus I tested it.. You get like maybe 15-20xp for a monster and I need nearly 500 to level.

Well you`re supposed to clear out Primm by yourself with little trouble at level 2-4 or so.

How do you manage to get killed so easily ? Is your health low ? IT doesn`t regenerate by itself.

In general from the starting area you want to head south, then east, then north sweeping around the bottom of the map like a "J" . The Vegas strip is north and the game is designed to have you do a bunch of stuff before you get up there, so they put a hard zone north of the starting area to keep newbies from just walking up there. You can still do it, its just hard as a starting character.

So either follow a guide/walkthrough, or just start exploring. In general you start on the west middle part of the map, and you want to head south, then east, then north until you eventually hit the northern part of the map.

Divide your map up like this ..

and you'll probably start at 1 and work your way around

something like that. If its your first time playing I would suggest just going out and seeing whats out there and learning the game and have fun.

Then get some stimpacks get some guns and kick ass, or be a ♥♥♥♥♥ and use console commands I.e tgm

Sorry if your bored just killing mobs and gaining 20xp for doing it, maybe this isn't the game for you because your going to be doing that for a very long time.

This is what I am asking, the guides say the army helps clear the town.. but I can not seam to get it to do this!

13. PRIMM

) PRIMM is divided into 2 sections, the west side where a small group of NCR
troops have occupied the ruins, and the east side, where main buildings
are. (The Hotel, Casino, houses, etc). Approaching PRIMM you are greeted
by a NCR trooper informing you of the area situation.

) Stay on the right (west side). You can steal from many ammo containers in
the NCR ruin's side. Find the tent housing LIEUTENANT HAYES. You want to
stealth and pickpocket the [MILITARY ORDERS] off him successfully. Make
sure to read the orders. Talk to HAYES and chat about the NCR troopers
retaking the NCR CORRECTIONAL FACILITY. He will let you help with the raid
and tell you to meet up with SERGEANT LEE near the facility.

) Fast travel back to NCR CORRECTIONAL FACILITY and head south to meet up
with SERGEANT LEE. Talk to him to start the assault. Good thing you have
already cleared the complex. Run down the hill through the now blown-up
fence hole, and proceed to the administration building. Entering it, a
half dozen NCR troops arrive and storm upstairs to kill EDDIE. go ahead
and rush up with them and take EDDIE down. Once hes dead, wait around for
a few minutes for LEE to show up and talk to LEE to finish the quest. You
can also sneak-assassinate the NCR troopers without losing reputation and
loot them also. Wait until you talk to LEE first then assassinate away. I
would leave LEE alive though, but the rest are just generic NCR troopers.

yeah.. the game only cost 6 bucks.. so I am not to pissed.. Still I am pretty much done with it already. I have basically spent 3 days a sesson a day trying to do ANYTHING after the main town and can not make any progress. All I do is wander around and shoot things, usually finding them way to high level, or empty houses with nothing in them, and not a single quest to be found. All this game has done is make me want to replay Skyrinm for the millionth time.

What difficulty level are you playing at and what is your character build so far? If I recall correctly it is not possible to have NCR support at this point. So you should relly on your skills.

What you should do is rescueing the deputy from the hotel. Use sneak inside the hotel, do not engage fights with too many goons at a time. Try to take sneak head shots. Also explosives might prove useful as you can kill multiple gangers at once.

All you need to do is get the information from the deputy. You don't need to clear entire primm area. If you do however, primm casino will be oppened by the time you return to the primm.
