Are you having the same issue yourself RipstaX? Because i don't think everyone is experiencing this particular issue.
I use this controller everyday for all of my other games. Seems like something is wrong in New Vegas. Anyone get theirs working properly from the start? I'd really like to play this game.
Could you also post a comment on my reddit topic? maybe we can find someone who knows how to fix this

No amount of tinkering with alternate control schemes helps and just leads to frustration because using VATS still requires the RT button even if you remap it so it effs up the whole combat system unless you don't use VATS at all.
However, using my PS4 controller plugged in with the DS4windows program on default settings worked like a charm and now I can play with a controller again (which is great because I have it set up in my livingroom so a mouse and keyboard just isn't as comfortable for extended play ;)

Should also work for PS3 controllers, and may also work with other wireless controllers (I believe it is in fact an incompatibility with the 360 controller driver since devices using the generic Wireless Controller driver work just fine)
Thanks!
Did you download the official XBox 360 Controller drivers - I'm not talking about plugging in the gc and letting Windows fetch everything. Download the Drivers, right click the installer, go to properties and make sure to check the unblock check box if it is present and click apply. Run the installer with administrative rights and do so without the controller being plugged in, reboot the computer then plug the controller in after you have logged into your account and everything has fired up. Had similar problems initially and these steps resolved those for me --try it out.
You may also want to install the 32bit controller drivers as 64bit seems to not work with NV.
Should still work with Windows 10 -- worked in Vista and 7 32 and 64bit versions.
Take care.
There seems to be no fix?
