Dead Money: I need help with this Dog glitch!

So I've just started playing Dead Money, and I'm at the quest where I have to get Dog out of the cell. My current task on the quest is "play the basement audio log near Dog's cell". I have done this multiple times, but nothing happens. Dog will stand up and talk to me, but he just says "Let Dog out. Hungry, hate being in here." He doesn't change to God or anything, just that same line over and over again. I also made the mistake of overwriting all my previous saves, so any advice on how to fix this would be much appreciated!

ouch son. rule #1 always have at least 2 or 3 recent saves in bethesda games.
did you destroy every radio? you have to walk up right to the side of the cell speak to him then play the audio log.

Yep. All destroyed, played the audio log in a bunch of different places

You know there are TWO audio logs to play, one changes from dog to god, one changes from god to dog. Make sure your playing the right one.

I don't have any other audio logs, and I couldn't find any others

There is the "Father Elijah's Voice" message you automatically get when entering the villa. Changes God to Dog.

Then there is "Dog command tape" in the basement of the police station that changes Dog to God.

open command console. click on the cell door and type unlock

maybe that will work?

He might need to do the whole kill, ressurect, disable, enable reset thing to fix his scripts. or advance the quest line and move dog/god to the fountain with console commands.
