Laser Pistol Iron sights slant to the left??!
So I installed a tonne of mods after buying my new i7 4790 and GTX 970, like I mean 100 all at once!
Now I sound like a complete idiot, well I probably am! But I did test out each and every mod by starting the game running around tinkering, and everything worked fine, apart from one minor texture issue I fixed with a reactivation. So the game was running fine, until I whipped out my trusty laser pistol and discovered that the iron sights were not in fact so trusty after all! They slant to the left and snap back into the correct position whilst firing and then back left when halting.

I have a suspicion It has a lot to do with EVE and WMX clashing, I was told that weapon animation replacers fixed this issue, however, it did not :(:(:(

I just wanted to know if anyone else had this issue, because I found nothing in all the googling a man has done.

Thank you for any comments and help!:-)

I have that happen as well. If you're using the standard version, add the AEP Scope mod to it and that removes the issue since it ignores ironsights.

If you're using the GRA version, there should be a weapon mod that adds combat sights to the Laser Pistol. Haven't tried that yet, mostly because I don't bother with the GRA version of a weapon unless it has a benefit over the standard weapon. An example why I don't use them would be the Anti-Materiel Rifle, which has a half-suppressor on the standard model but either a composite stock or custom action on the GRA version.

?

GRA AMR has all the mods, suppressor, weight reduced and spread reduction I think.

GRA laser pistol gets the +3 damage mod.

....But apparently I don't know anything because I find lasers better than anything guns have to offer by a factor of about 3.
Might be changed by WMX. :P

I think i'm using the standard version?

This is about the 5th time i've re-installed all my mods, and this is the first time i've ever had this issue! But this time round, I installed the dlc as merged, so dumb move on me there I guess.

I can't see that in my directory anywhere? May be because I installed the mods as merged, which I've never usually done before!
But yeah that's why I was dissapointed lol, it's such a powerful game beginning weapon I think, it's just a shame I messed up my mods somewhere along the line!

It can't just be WMX can it?
I think it's on one of the mod pages for either WMX or EVE. Lemme check...

It's on WMX, and it looks like deleting the file at Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout New Vegas\Data\meshes\characters\_1stperson\1hpattack3.kf might fix is. Lemme try it myself and report back, since I'm fairly experienced with this kind of thing. :D

Nope, didn't solve the bug. Just removed the added ironsights.

Turns out there's a compatbility patch for WMX and EVE. Going to see if it works.

I think I have that you know. May be installed incorrectly, but I dont think it fixes anything :(
I didn't have it at all, so that might be my problem.

It may fix it for you, but when I installed it it only fixed the texture clashing in the game, let me know if it fixes it for you! :):)
It did, and it makes me extremely happy since it adds better sights to the Tri-Beam Laser Rifle.

It doesn't seem like readding that file I mentioned changed anything from when it wasn't there, so try removing that then making sure the WMX-EVE Patch is last in your load order. Well, do the load order bit first, then remove the file if that doesn't work.

Thank you! I will give it a try! If it doesn't work I guess I'll have to find the courage and time and get on my lazy ass to re-install all my mods lol.

But thank you, you've shed some light into a question I found no where on google!:-)

I fixed it now, I just re-activated the WMX files and installed the standard DLC version and not the Merged.
