"come fly with me" mission is completely bugged

I have the fuel and everything to get the rocket working. But when I go to find chris in the rebconn basement he's nowhere to be found, I go exactly where the marker is and he's not there, same thing happens in earlier saves. Is there a way to fix this bug? It literally does not let me progress the story

if you still cant find a fix, i recommend skipping the mission, its entirely optional. either kill manny or go to his house and go to his terminal, to proceed. only do this if you cant find any fix for this, as the quest has a great payoff.

can you record what happens if you go to the room he is in after getting the stuff for the rocket, and chuck it up on yt or streamable? also i recommend sending over your modlist, just in case you have something that may break the quest here.

The quest is super bugged. There's another just like it that has a lot issues regardless of mods that claim to fix the issues, it took me about 5 runs of the game before I was able to complete it, I still run into issues once it gets to launching the rocket so if it doesn't work I just end up skipping it. But like Radial said, it's optional, if you're not trying to get all achievements I'd say just skip it

thanks for the reply, I dont have any mods installed as this is my first playthrough and i want the vanilla experience before installing a ♥♥♥♥ ton of mods. I'll see if i can put it up on yt and send you a link, but like i said, hes just not there

I know its optional but I was invested on them :/ I wanted to see what happens. I hate how this otherwise perfect game is sometimes made nearly unplayable cause of bugs

Yeah, I'm trying to beat it, but i guess the nightkin are too hidey, because i have completely stomped through every corner of the basement with ED-E beside me. I just can't find any more nightkin, yet the quest still says i need to find more.
