Shaky iron sights?
I have a problem with iron sights thats been bugging me for ages. When aiming with 2 handed guns (e.g. cowboy repeater / brush gun etc), the rifle will 'shake', kind of like my character has Parkinsons. This is not the 'sway' you get when aiming with low guns skill / strength / agility, and this only happens when in an external area cell (e.g. in the middle of the mojave). When in an internal cell (e.g. a building or cave etc) the aiming is fine.

it took me under 2 sec to locate this
http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35995/?

and if this can be done so can other weapons get fixed and remove the sway effect
Earl Sneakington 15 września 2016 o 13:55
The sway isn't the problem. The weapons both sway at the front and shake violently at the back. The swaying is cool, it's the violent shaking that's the problem.

There are lots of mods that take swaying out of the game but thats less fun.

Quick question.....You using New Vegas Stutter Remover?

Only reason I asked is because a similar bug was reported with the stutter remover and another mod in Fallout 3. The author of stutter remover has NO idea why it happens but it does.

Yes but removal had no effect. Pluss the first guy who seems to have the same problem as me was on vinila.

It's called bone shake, and it's inherrent with the animation system in this game which is 'inadequate' to say the least...

to fix all your issues with pretty much every animation in the game making them 10x better and removing the shake you talk about. Google 1st person weapon animation overhaul by Hitman47101.

I know this is old but the same thing is happeneing to me except when im outside. If I aim north or south my gun shakes like I have parkinsons, but if I aim east or west it steady's out and just sways normally.

You aren't using project nevada by any chance? If you install that mod the "recoil" option will be automatically activated.

I'm not, and still have the issue

Here to join the party guys. I'm having the same issue; best description of the problem I've seen so far. I'm using no mods and have noticed that this issue only happens Outside and is worse when facing East or West.
Just wondering if anyone had any luck fixing this? :/

I just upgraded my rig, since I last played New Vegas. I'll load it up tonight and see if it was maybe just a performance issue?
Mightymeati 13 sierpnia 2017 o 16:18
Sure thing! Let me know what results you get:)
I'll try installling FNV on an older machine, see if that changes anything.

They usually don't sway too much, but if your arms are crippled, even just one, that will make your aiming ability almost nonexistant. Aside from that, though, I've never had it glitch or anything, never had a "random sway issue" indoors or out, but weapon sway is drastically increased when one or both of your arms are crippled. Edit: sorry for the comment on such an old post; didn't realize someone revived an old thread..

Hey The Iceman, unfortunately this isn't the usual weapon sway!
The problem we are experiencing seems to be an actual violent, weapon shake bug, almost like your character has Parkinson's. I'll post a video on YouTube and link you so you can see the issue.

When I was diagnosing the issue, it seemed to happen under these conditions:

1) The bug only happens in outside environments (not buildings/caves)
2) The but is worsened when facing North or South.
3) Deselecting the option "True Iron Sights" in gameplay options, this seems to get rid of the shaking, however isn't a viable solution for people who want to aim down sights.

I've tried uninstalling the game multiple times, clearing all data, but still to no avail.
