!!!!Terminals are bugged with white outlines and black screens. PLEASE HELP!!!!

I am on a vanilla game. No mods. I noticed that the sniper scope was white instead of red and terminals are bugged out, My cursor on the terminal screen still works, but the screen is black and outlined in white.
Is there a fix for this without mods?

could try the steam verify game files in case some game files missing/corrupt.

could try going to folder Documents\My Games\FalloutNV
and delete or rename or move somewhere else files
Fallout.ini FalloutPrefs.ini RendererInfo.txt
maybe a graphics setting is messed up

I have had to uninstall with Display Driver Uninstaller my graphics card driver twice
this year (so far) then CLEAN install the driver due to driver update not completing cleanly.

and uninstalling mods removes the downloaded mod files ONLY. does NOT remove any tweaks the mod may have made to your .ini files.

How do I post screen shots?
Not a veteran steam user or a computer expert.
I have also uninstalled the game twice and deleted all files associated with FNV, but I am still getting the same blank screen for all paused terminal sections.

I’m also having the same issue I finally got it to launch but now I can’t leave the vault

Also having this issue, I'm not much of a modder so i followed the best of times guide as well as the wasteland survival guide and that's it. The issue only started after about 9 hours into the game. My PIP boy is fine but I cant open any terminal without it being the white outline and blank screen, can open and close the terminal still nothing :( I went back to a save before the issue started but now all the terminals there are doing it too, pls share any fix you find

Installing the DXVK mod off of Nexus worked for me, so I'd recommend using that. Not sure why, as I'm not much of a tech person, but that fixed it for me

Same thing here, tried validating game files along with a bunch of other ahit, literally been trying to fix this for 2 hours now and I'm about to give up. I thought maybe because I closed the steam client service on accident maybe that was it? But when I verify the files it fixes nothing and acts as if new vegas is perfectly fine??
