how to get the big boomer shotgun without killing mrs gibson ?

i tried to pick pocket her but the shotgun doesn't appear in her inventory

Pickpocket her ammo, reverse pickpocket her a junk melee weapon, fast travel somewhere and then come back. She should have the melee weapon equipped and you'll be able to pickpocket the weapon

Add a weapon stronger than the shotgun to her inventory bi pickpocketing.
She'll unequip the shotgun and you can steal it from her inventory.

Steal her ammo, she'll unequip the shotgun.

Punch her, then vats to shoot the weapon out of her hand, then sheathe your weapon to end combat.
