i didn't like xre much. never got the cars working well. i like the motorcycle mod much better!

I had a great time with it for about 10 hours, driving around in my jeep, now with the mod active my saves freeze about 10 seconds in and I have yet to find why or fix it, so it's basically broken for me, which sucks as it's a great alternative to fast travel. Would try out the bikes but doesn't really suit my character.

Check the readme, it's a common bug that has a fix explained.

OP, you are wanting car mods and such, yet you are also wanting to uninstall NVSE. You can't have those kind of mods without NVSE! Without NVSE your choices of mods will be extremely limited!

What's the problem with Nexus?

If it's about having to pay for a subscription when signing up, you don't. The subscription is optional, and you can proceed without selecting one and just be a free user.
