That I am not sure. Skyrim's map feels a lot smaller to me, but I don't have any data handy to back that assertion up.

I think Skyrim has the illusion of being big but most of it is covered by mountain areas you can't climb.

Weird.. I feel its much bigger. Maybe its the layout. Since NV has a lot of areas cut off from lwo level players while Skyrim lets you go pretty much everywhere from the start. Really is hard to say.

I'd say they are the same. It feel's like in Skyrim you have to follow the main road to the first town, and you are hemmed in a bit by the road you have to take to get there.

it doesn't get much bigger than that. did you travel back and forth much? i kinda just hung around in one spot. know of any quest mods that take advantage of having the games combined? p.s. vegas seems bigger than skyrim to me. but i haven't finished skyrim, so i'm really not qualified to answer.

Combined? Not many. I have a few mods that give extra ways to travel. A vertibird mod that has you repair a broken one to travel back and forth, and another that adds a few DC locations to the Big MT Transportalponder.

Alton is a large quest mod that has been ported over from 3 to TTW. Not linked together, but it's an opportunity to have another large area and quest. My version of the port had a broken end though and couldn't get back without COC'ing, though I think on their forums they have a better port. The voice acting is also really not all that:

I do have a mod that alters most of the character dialogue in 3 to be more in line with the courier's personality. Some of it is pretty hilarious. It also adds some bits to encounters in NV if you experienced it in 3 and vice versa:

If you never have, I recommend checking out their forum mod page, have a lot of cool stuff on there including lots of patches for NV mods to work in DC areas, totally new mods and ports of mods for 3 also:

Skyrim is the larger game or map, as long as you add in the below ground areas. As a guess I'd say 35% of the game is underground, which is like having a second world map to explore. Then you have to consider the vertical distances you travel in Skyrim when going up and down mountain trails. That adds to the size of the map too. Also, you run faster in Skyrim than in NV, so it makes the Skyrim map seem smaller because it doesn't take as long to get from point A to point B.

Totally OFF topic; R5CYA, please send me an invite to your next Fallout 4 locations party. AND why didn't you tell them about the Moon base that you folks at Bethesda are adding to Fallout 4? :) PS; I emptied a full mag of 12.7mm into the Janitor, so he won't be leaking anymore valuble info.

Skyrim, FO3 and FONV maps all clock in at about 4 km on a side (scale is wonky in video games) - IOW they're all the same size.

Skyrim *does* have a lot more areas outside the main worldspace (dungeons, building interiors, etc) though. And all three have large areas of the main worldspace that are simply inaccessible - Skyrim has the areas outside the borders of Skyrim heightmapped but there's nothing there (in addition to all the unclimbable ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mountains) and both the FO's have areas on the map edges that you can see but not actually get to - all to keep you from running into the end of the world.
