Fallout TV Show just dropd and damn it's bad
Maybe it's because i don't like stupid drama shows but OH MY GOD THIS WAS BAD

I could only watch a few minutes of the show before i gave up Fallout is about killing every NPC on the strip because an NCR trooper said "Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter" not stupid lady gets marred Fallout is about helping a mad AI put FEV into the water supply of DC while listening to Stars and Stripes forever not whatever ♥♥♥♥ the TV show is about

Anyways that's just my rant about the TV show after hate-watching a few minutes of it
makes me sad. If this is how the TV show is i wonder how bad Fallout 5 will be VARY BAD

Edit: Because some of you can't read here is one of the reply's i made saying I've changed my mind about it. You can all shut up now

Okay so i gave the show a second chance and after the 1st episode it's not that bad. -the lore retcons

The Ghoul IMO was the best part of the show both in the pre and post war. Maximus and Lucy where okay but i didn't like them as much

i hate how they made it so that vault tek started the great war but i guess it still kind of works in the lore that vault tek and the enclave started it

The stuff about the vault 33 overseer nuking shady sands was stupid (like how tf does he even get the nukes) and pre war vault tek lady number 20 leading the NCR remnant was also kind of stupid

As for the enclave showing up in the show it's okay i guess i'm not sure what is even still cannon from FO 1, 2 and NV so maybe the battle of Navarro does not happen or it's ENCLAVE Vault-Research/MacArthur Army Base

Also the masters army not finding Vaults 4, 31, 32 and 33 is stupid

IMO the worst part of the show (other then the first 30 mins of episode 1) was all the retcons

Also in the pre war part where all the higher ups meat Sinclair is for some reasin representing Big MT even though Big MT was ran by the united states gov and Sinclair was buying tech from them and not running the place also REPCON was there too even though by that point in the timeline it was bough out by RobCo so it does not make scene that they where there

overall the show was a 4/10 i would have given it a 6/10 but the retcons to west coast lore brought it down

Haven't watched it, I just think it's absolutely hilarious when people scream "It was so bad I didn't even watch it"
Alpha neckbeard mantra right there. Basement-dweller battlecry. Could be great, could be ♥♥♥♥, how would you even know? You invalidate your statements immediately and proclaim your purposeful ignorance while insisting we listen to your brilliant observations. No one would care about your opinion if you'd written you're doctorate thesis on the show, why would we care about your opinion when you couldn't muster the attention span for a single episode.
Clown shoes.

They literally used the same plot point of a person from the vault that has no idea about the outside world looking for a relative for the 3rd time in a row now LMAO

OMG, You mean they adapted the most widely recognized Fallout plot point for this mainstream show that tries to appeal to a broad, mostly non-gamer audience??
*GASP* How DARE they?

the supposedly most recognized fallout plot point was only ever used in the very first game before fallout 3 came out, after which as it seems it became the equivalent of ES's start as a prisoner

Considering how even 90% of players never heard of fallout until 3, I fail to see your statement as anything but a non-sequitur. What's your point? The games have overused that plot? I guess, maybe if twice in 7 games is too much for you. But we were talking about a TV show. An adaptation of an IP most potential viewers probably know the bare minimum about, so of course Hollywood being scared and unoriginal are going to exploit as many recognizable details as possible: Someone leaves a vault. Why? Obvious trope or McGuffin.
Granted they could have said "water chip" and made all the little nerds squirm in delight at an easter-egg they probably only know about from a youtube video... but why bother when the laziest trope can carry the plot forward? Does the inciting factor of a pilot really determine the quality of an entire series for you? That's actually legitimately depressing, I'm sorry.

how about 3 out of 4 fallout mediums bethesda participated in and 2 out of 3 games they made, also calm your b!tcht!ts, the show has way bigger problems than copying and pasting the only character background that emil pagliarulo can make up for this dead ass franchise

i avoided 76 like the plague so i had no idea but that literally makes every bethesda fallout medium so far use the exact same plot device LOL

Show me how a missing relative factors into the plot of 1, 2, FT, or NV, Please, I'll wait. That was your statement. If you want to backtrack and say you meant leaving a vault...That IS fallout, so I reiterate my statement about the most obvious and recognizable trope of fall out. The entire game/premise/lore has always revolved around vault dwellers.
Next you're going to complain it's too "woke"

So you're point is Bethesda is lazy? Ok Why didn't you say so, I can't argue with that. At the same time, that just further strengthens my argument that of course the show will use that plot since again for the late arrivals: "THE SHOW IS DESIGNED FOR CASUALS AND NON GAMERS"

Watched the whole season, the first two three episodes are more like Fallout 3 and 4, which I didn't like either. But, it get's better for the rest of the season, more like Fallout 1 and New Vegas. The timeline is after the events in New Vegas. You get to see prewar Mr House. for a bit, probably in season 2 we will see the legion. I think, they got rid of Todd at some point. It get's more gray as it goes, and your dad isn't a good guy like in Fallout 3.
