advice for leveling up quick?

sometimes i get stuck on missions due to having too low of a certain skill to proceed, and then have to hunt for other missions that i can do

Honestly the best way to level up is to quest in any fallout game.

the problem is, i dont know where a lot of the non-main quests are, nor do i really feel like running around the wasteland with zero directions to find side quests... something i liked about fallout 4 is that it felt like i had more reason to explore locations to build settlements and stuff, and i feel like you leveled up easier unlike fallout new vegas where i found myself fighting legionaries like 5x my strength

how far are you into the game and whats your intelligence skill at? its always worth doing some backtracking, snooping round places you've already been and just asking around, see if anyone has any quests

my intelligence is like 6 i think... idk why but something about fallout new vegas just doesnt really make me feel like doing anything but go from each main quest line location to the next unless i find a side quest in one of those spots

thats a u problem then get into that funky spirit bro and get exploring, theres a whole world out there waiting for u squire

also if ur really stumped just look at the games achievements bc a few side quests have achievements linked to them (talent pool, etc) just a quick google search will tell u where to find them, along with any other side quests. that should domino-effect ur progress tenfold

You should be able to find a few just following your objective for now.

After leaving good springs you should arrive in primm the quest my kind of town will be here to where after you’ve gotten the info you need on your objective you can optionally restore law to primm completing this gets 300 xp.

After arriving in nipton and traveling through the decimated town of nipton continue on the mojave outpost to turn in the quest cold cold heart for 150 xp there’s the side quest find it in your heart which can be done for 200 xp

Heartache by the number can also be found here for 500 xp

The outpost also has keep your eyes on the prize for 100

Next is getting to the town of Novac.
Here you will meet Craig Boone a potential companion note he will hate you if the legion likes you.

Complete his quest one for my baby for 150 xp

Come fly with me is a quest that is a very short distance from Novac and easily missable you’ll know your going the right way when the hostile ghouls start coming at you.

You’ll get 800 xp for this quest possibly an additional 200.

Finally your last stop before reaching your destination which is Boulder City.

The crew belonging to the man who shot you are holed up here and dealing with them is part of a quest here. You get 300 xp for it.

The next stop is the new Vegas strip and there are no shortages of things to do to level up.

tbh the only quests i really did here on my last run were restoring law to primm and killing the khans in boulder city... i tried to help boone but i literally couldnt get any information on who took boone's wife so i just said "♥♥♥♥ it" and made him shoot no-bark in the head (which i had no proof to back it up with and couldnt meet the speech check to lie to him)
