Is Viva new vegas a good starter for fixing the game and other stuff?

So everything up to the "Base Finish" part is pretty much mandatory for stability and compatibility with most mods.

The VNV Extended part is more optional Vanilla+. It improves the UI and visuals slightly without remastering them, and implements a few quality of life changes and gameplay features from Fallout 4 (ex. Sprint, quick-looting containers, dynamic crosshair, weapon wheel, hitmarkers, etc).
