Sniper silencer gone?

Hi,

I am playing Fallout New Vegas with a sniper build. I just... euh... borrowed a sniper rifle from the NCR camp and wanted to buy a silencer for it.

Wiki says that there should be two vendors that sell them: Vendortron in the Gun Runners kiosk and the Arms merchant in the 188 Trading Post.

But neither of those places have them. They do have the mod that lower the weigth, but no Silencer that I can see. Where/how can I get them?

As extra info: I am level 16 and do not run any mods nor do I have any DLCs.

If you don't have the DLCs, you probably don't have the thing for it. Gun Runner's Arsenal covers a lot of stuff, especially if your first port of call was the Gun Runners kiosk.

I think a lot of people assume people buy the game and its DLC in bulk these days.

I just tried and they didn't have it immediately either and I had to wait a few restocks.

I think the NCR merchant needs you to be level 12, but there doesn't seem to be any limitation on the Vendortron.

There are 3 mechants that can sell sniper rifle mods. Cliff at the Novac Gift Shop, the Arms Merchant at 188, not the guy under the bridge, the female Discharged NCR soldier. Finally the Gun Runner Vendortron.

The Vedortron sells every non-dlc mod in the game, but never all at once, it seems to have a selection every time it refreshes and it might actually be less likely to appear due to the amount of mods you'll have access to.

The Arms Mecheant has the lowest number of possible mods.

Merchant stock rotates its not fixed. They may not sell it now but will eventually. I believe merchants rotate twice a week.

Also, stop being a heathen and buy the DLC.

I'm glad you found what you were looking for but you should still buy the dlcs cause youre missing out...
