Fallout 4’s “gunplay” completely ♥♥♥♥♥ over how the game works, which is why they went to the retarded perk system they have now in an attempt to balance it(it didn’t work).
speaking of accuracy and what not, idk i know its an rpg and stuff but GOD what are sights even for if they dont mean where your bullets will go? like oh ♥♥♥♥ the 10mm smg IS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WILD LIKE A 30 DEGREE CONE AT 20M it makes you wonder what a gun even is sometimes
Seriously, changing to m&k helps. Playing this game with a controller is complete ass.
You're part of the 60% of the population here.
And that is Okay.
I exclusively use controller, and its great. Idk what you are talking about. Fallout 4/76 is iffy cause of some mouse acceleration stuff, on both their launches but, that was also addressed in a post launch update at some point. Starfield was the first game from bethseda that actually knocked it out of the park on release for controller support in a long long time
Just let him leave....these games aren't for this generation of gamer....
I know....
It's kinda sad
This game is 14 years old. Released in 2010 dude. Cut it some slack. Jesus. Deus Ex has terrible gunplay too, because it technically isn't a shooter, just like this isn't technically a shooter, and the gunplay in NV is 100% better than in Fallout 3, and 200% better than Deus Ex. Go back to that ♥♥♥♥ and try and play it. Good luck.
As a caveat, why not try playing the game entirely with VATS and get the real Fallout 1 & 2 experience? Or better yet, try maxing out a luck build and go gamble for all your cap needs. This game is a playground to try stuff. If you take some time and gain a little game knowledge, it becomes much more fun.
Tag guns, energy weapons, or explosives, dump your first 6 levels to max out a weapon skill to 100 (takes literally a couple hours following just the main quest to NV while completing a few side-quests as you go along) and relax while picking off targets at a distance. I go through the majority of the game ADS unless I'm being attacked by multiple targets at once. You can literally grab the AMR from Gun Runners and smash through Deathclaws all day from such a distance crouched that they'll never spot you ever. They literally pop-in while the LOD is still at a low-res quality.
Plus it's broken and needs to be modded just to be playable. Even for 2010 it was barely passable at the time, but scraped by on some decent writing and lots of player freedom in character customization.
I also hate the gunplay. I use a PS4 controller and had to use a mod settings tweak to increase joystick sensitivity really high just so my crosshairs don't fly right over an enemy I'm trying to aim at when I slightly nudge a stick in any direction. Cause default sensitivity doesn't detect slight inputs. At least there's VATS available in most cases.
