Viva New Vegas - I love you

I have been messing around with this game for years trying to make it work..
Don't know why it took so long in retrospect. Regardless I am so happy to finally be able to play :) * knock on wood*

Dude I had a post not too long ago crying about the crashes, i took 2 hrs going through the viva new vegas setup and the game actually runs smooth as butter. Its awesome.

Agreed and I think it runs better now than ever, unless you have the newest AMD drivers, sadly.

If it was a pinned post I suspect there would be a few less threads of people struggling

I feel ya. Nothing worse than crashing. I have ptsd from all the crashes lol. I am so glad viva new vegas was created

100%. The pinned post that is up is decent but it isn't really in depth

This game runs better on my steam deck than any PC I have ever owned and I have been PC gaming since 2011.

Well..... I ran through all of the Viva New Vegas ♥♥♥♥ and when I run it... it doesn't launch. Why do we have to go through so much BS to play a game these days...

you just have to open it. youre full of bs if you say it wont open. I have played it modded and no mods and it runs.

Viva New Vegas guide absolutely should be pinned, because it's not just only the most robust set of fixes, but also because it's continuously maintained and updated whenever something new comes out, or update of a mod starts causing issues.

for some people they report rolling back drivers to a 2.3 version or below solves the issue with crashing after loading screen, others suggest a collection of mods can also help this issue, i personally have not found the solution because you can only roll back drivers, if you've had them installed previously? idk im going to try switching from adreneline to pro, since it was updated years ago rather than just recently also make sure you report the bug through amds adrenaline software, its the bug symbol top right <3 gl

Use the Guru3D driver uninstaller with safe mode option on, then when you install the 2.3 driver do a clean install.

Agree with the topic. Once tried to install the game with a truckload of mods years ago and failed. Did the basic install of Viva New Vegas some days ago and it works flawlessly. Highly recommended. Now finally playing New Vegas for the first time and loving it.
