Since DXVK has been out for awhile for this game, figure I should ask
DXVK seems to cause more heavily modded loadouts like 140-200 something mod lists to run smoother, but when doing script intensive tasks like driving a car via frontier standalone cars mod whatnot, DXVK causes the game to skip the microstutter involved in loading new scripts and areas quickly, forcing the game to CTD seemingly because it's trying to load them into the game too fast.

Has anyone found a fix or tweak to mitigate this or just completely squash this yet?

If you mean by "standalone Frontier cars mod" the one that strips it out of the Frontier entirely, that one's pretty unstable. I rather wait for Xilandro to release a proper one if he ever does. But I wouldn't blame him if he won't.

Ah that's a bummer.

Oh and I figured out the source of this "bug". It's caused by New Vegas Heap Replacer. A hard incompatibility between NVHR and DXVK. For a similar type of tweak, set the scrap heap and heap in nvse config to like half system ram. I have 64 gigabytes in everything cause strong PC, so I set that to 32 gigabytes, and then in DXVK config I set texture memory to 32 and max available memory to like quarter of that which is about 16. This has basically let me run an ultra end 240-245 plugin modlist with all of the latest fps mechanics mods, texture mods, and new vegas uncut mods without CTDs, because the tweaks are attempting to force my game to buffer the most available RAM it's currently capable of utilizing.

I know a lot of the community says not to set it beyond the maximum, but my tweaks seem like they've helped me out more than NVHR ever did, I took a page out of how Minecraft handles mods.
