Is there ANY way to get the ranger sequoia without stealing?

Im trying to get the ranget sequoia on my ncr playthrough but for roleplaying reasons don't wanna steal it or get it from Hanlon's suicide.

Is there literally any way this is possible or do I just need to stop roleplaying to get it?

There's a grand total of 0 of them placed in the world, so either you get it from Hanlon when he self-terminates, pick it off a high level veteran ranger's corpse, or steal it from someone that has it in their inventory.

So 2 out of 3 of those I already said I didnt wanna do for roleplay reasons, how do I get a veteran ranger killed easiest?

This sounds silly but, you can find a way to get a legion kill squad to follow you and have them fight rangers in the far off camps just by leading them to said camps.

I remember seeing a mod that adds an option for you to get it from hanlon with speech checks

At this point thats tempting it should just be in the safehouse with the matching armor set anyway so I'll just console command it when i become idolized by the ncr I think

At this point i think im starting to hate the sequoia more than the lazer musket just from the aquisition

You can spawn or lure a deathclaw to attack people with Ranger sequoia

Would have thought for roleplay reasons deliberately getting a ranger killed by the Legion or a Deathclaw would be worse than just stealing his weapon, but that's just me. Console is definitely your friend.
