how do i kill the deathclaws in dead wind cavern easily? (without dlc stuff)

im having a pretty hard time killing the deathclaws there, so if anyone knows how to easily kill the deathclaws there and what weapons and perk should i use pls let me know
or you could just link a steam guide i couldnt find any

Boost Unarmed, learn some of the special VATS punches, use a modded Power Fist.

Uppercut them to death.

Stealth boy and a lot of explosives. That worked for me, at least.

how many stealth boys dud you use? and did the deathclaws notice you with steal boys

and stay back perk, a shotgun, high guns skill, decent armor and some stimpacks clears them all in no time. psycho also helps. depends on your build though, you can also go unarmed as stated if that’s your choice

im pretty sure the "stay back" perk is dlc only

oh i’m sorry, it is indeed. you can reverse pickpocket grenades with stealth boys if that works for deathclaws, not sure. psycho turbo then going crazy might work also then, sorry if i was no help though

You find the mods being sold by vendors, go to the weapon tab, find the weapon in question, push X, apply mods.

But yes, any Unarmed fist based weapon should do.

Also, maybe consider getting Veronica and Rex as companions. They're both close range fighters, so they can act as meat shields if you want to go ranged. And if you still want to go Unarmed, all three of you can gang up.

Mines and Turbo are a good combo, cripple them and slow time every time you're out of AP for VATS, shoot like crazy

if you've most likely leveled up guns, Anti-Materiel Rifle with GRA Piercing Ammo should one tap them with better criticals

Combat armor, a minigun, lots of ammo and psycho did the trick for me.
