Fallout Timeline Divergence

If timeline divergence happened sometime in the 50's or 60's, and the counter-culture movement still occurred (throughout all the games there is a long list of references to both hippies and punks) did the Beatles still release Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band in 1967 and Led Zepplin's Led Zepplin 1 in 1969? Elvis definitely still existed, with his last 1 on Billboard 200 being his album "Something for Everybody" in 1961. Though he admittedly, he does exist in a weird position as an example, with his first album coming out in 1956 and his last one in 1977, two months before his death. But with a basis of Elvis and a potential basis of folk like Chuck Berry and The Beatles, the basis for Rock and Roll would have seemingly still been formed for folks like Led Zepplin. We have a timespan of the 1950's/60's to 2077, and it's heavily implied that Jazz has somehow become the dominant form of music again. So was once counter-culture Jazz just wholescale embraced by the US Government to combat Rock and Roll, and Rock-Pop? It just seems weird to me, adopting Jazz/Blues ,one of the founding genres for any brand of Rock, to combat rock music inspired by Jazz/Blues. And moreover, for 100 years.
Edit: California Dreamin' by The Mamas and the Papas came out in 1965, and there is no way they aren't going to use that for season 2 of Amazon's Fallout
Tl;DR: I'm glad the bombs were dropped, only in the Stone Age can we truly have rock n roll.

Sadly I think the Fallout world just missed heavy metal and rock becoming a thing

The whole concept of a closer to modern day divergence is silly for Fallout, simply because things work differently in that universe. Human biology reacts differently to radiation, and radiation can be very quickly removed from the human body without any negative effects.

Also, given how mothership Zeta has been around for centuries and abducting people, divergence couldn't be in the mid 20th century anyway. There's also that nonsense of Ubar that FO4 forced in, which means divergence is before human civilization.

So, Fallout has to be its own self contained universe, and not just a branch.

The 50s and 60s music memes are strictly a Bethesdascrolls addition to fallout.
Hippies, important people, and virtually everything else seems to have progressed as per the actual timeline. Elvis is even mentioned in new Vegas, and has a little cult dedicated to him.
