Is lvl up my barter to 100, Im at 50 rn is it really worth it

what i seen so far it helps me give me more caps when I talk to people but will it help me overtime if i keep it up

I know that's not the only thing it'll do but what else it can do exactly pls

It affects bartering prices and there's a good amount of dialogue checks for it. In my opinion, it's just a better version of Speech.

you can use barter to do an pacifist ending
but i dont know how much barter your need for that

You don't need 100 in any skill since clothing and mags exist to buff those points up. Charisma can be buffed a few ways to so you may only need max 85~

I like barter more, but I was reminded this last play-through, that a lot of good content is locked behind speech.

If you want to get into Vault 3, or have sexy time after the Vault 21 quest, you need high speech.

Barter does give a great perk at 70. Strong back, lets you fast travel while over encumbered.
It makes a huge difference in prices, I think. It's still an excellent alternative for speech checks, and gives you a much greater advantage in most conversations.

Barter is a great skill and a personal favorite. Like RAGE said, you can buff it with clothing and skill books. So I would take it to at least 70-80, and get the Comprehension perk.
