crashing issues
I'm hoping that maybe someone else has had this issue and therefore a solution.

for starters i do have new vegas anti crash installed

occasionally when i crash it essentially locks me onto new vegas. i cant tab out or bring task manager above it to kill it so i have to ctrl alt delete and restart my pc. i dont have a second monitor unfortunately so i cant have task manager over on the side. tabbing out doesnt work.

hitting the windows key brings up the taskbar but it doesnt really let me do anything on there because no matter what i select it just brings me back to the new vegas crash screen.

I've validated files as well

I'm running without mods, and the latest patch solved my crashing issues. Perhaps anti-crash is causing the crashes?

nah cause i was without mods at first and then after crashing every 5-10 minutes i put on anti crash.

its not so much the crashes that i have an issue with, its the being stuck and being forced to restart my pc sometimes

The patch was in the last day or so, so I'm thinking perhaps it reversed whatever that anti-crash was fixing which would make the anti-crash actually cause crashes...

I'm just guessing here, mind you.

Those crashes CAN be sidestepped without a full reset by using control alt delete and signing out, instead of restarting or shutting down.

In my experience, those crashes tend to come from a missing master, corrupted save/cell or from an error related to alt-tabbing in the first place. Check your load order, make sure everything is kosher there. Unfortunately NVAC doesn't catch everything. I'm hoping that the update (which was only a few kbs on my end) didn't somehow break mod compat, as TTW is a pain in the ass to install. With that small of an update, I can't think of much it really could have done, outside of maybe resetting your archive invalidation or messing with your inis, that would have caused problems.
NVAC does nothing without FOSENV, iirc, and FOSENV should refuse to launch, popping a warning, if there is a version mismatch.

I ended up downloading tick fix after seeing another thread here and i haven't had a single crash since this morning even when tabbing out, so i haven't had the opportunity to test anything else around that type of crash
