Need help about the XRE cars mod

I just downloaded this mod the cars spawn but icant get in them can anyone help?

Do you have both all data files active? It has two. You will know it's properly activated as a pop-up will come up saying it is.

Also, you need to open up both Fallout_default.ini and FALLOUT.ini and modify these lines:

iUpdateType:4
flandfriction:0.4000

So the cars can move. Its most likely not letting you in the cars because this is not done.

It's meant to do that after it first runs successfully, though it doesn't always work.

alright guys thanks for the info ill try to fix the problem now :D lets hope it works

Hope you get it working. It worked great for me for about 20 hours and since then having the mod activated freezes a loaded game after about 10 seconds. It's a shame, I loved driving around in my humvee.

ok how do i do that? and when i try to play the mod it says something about modifying my game thing or something and i keep getting that message over and over again it says if i do get it over and over again I have to do it manually how do i do that?

how do you do that? go to your fonv folder and modify the .ini's.
if you keep getting the message over and over, why do you say " it says something about modifying my game thing or something", instead of telling us exactly what it says? you want to fix it or have people guess about what you see?

ok where can i find the fonv folder im not too good with computers.

probably in your "C" drive. no offense, but if you don't know how to find a game folder on your computer, you should NOT be modifying .ini files. you do them wrong and game will not work. you got no one around who's used computers before?

You need to edit your Fallout.ini file, located in:

C:\Users\You\Documents\my games\FalloutNV

This is actually in the FAQ section of the mods' page:

Q: I keep getting the 'enable and quit' message.
A: First, make sure your Fallout.ini is not set to read-only. With some versions of the game this fix doesn't work; the next solution is to use FOMM to launch the game, make sure to set it to launch NVSE. If that still doesn't fix it, make the following changes in Fallout.ini and Fallout_default.ini:
iUpdateType=4
fLandFriction=0.4000

glad you got it working. i was afraid for you there. when you get tired of cars, there a cool bike moad as well. and you don't need to modify .ini files to run it!
