Best melee weapon in game?

Hello good people of the Fallout: New Vegas forums.A question: what is the best melee weapon in game? Also, I am starting a melee build and require your humble opinion on how to play as one as i'm almost always a Guns only character.

I own them all. Best as in highest dps/dam

- Shishkebab/Gehenna with Pyromaniac perk and poison. You'll get the highest DPS possible.
- Chance's Knife. No really, the DPS on that thing is crazy. Plus it's light.
- Blade of the West.
- Blood Nap. Like Chance's Knife but only late game.

Is "Oh Babe" U can get it from that snowy area cave next to a dead blue orc (in that area with orcs)

I believe Gehenna+pyromaniac is pretty much the highest damage you can get

With that said, I’m more of the CC mindset so I think that the best for that would be Greased Lightning+Slayer+Super Slam

Well, there's always a .50 MG round or two through the noggin, but if you really wanna get up close and personal...
