A very sad and annoying problem
so for the past 2 days ive been trying to mod fallout new vegas because the last time i tried to mod it by myself my own modpacks always crashed too much. so this time i followed this 2020 modlist guide https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/65199
i spent about probably 25 hours getting all the mods setup and on mod 328 the final crash check to see if my game would run (where it had no crashes before) and i cant get past the title screen.... it gets to the trademarks then spinny circle with the music playing and crashes.... after all that work too its so horrible when your troubleshooting more then playing the actaul game. so if anyones good at troubleshoot my discord is InsaneTanner#8894. OR if anyone has made this pack for themselves before and has a all in one download link that would be amazing. v.v I just dont want the last 2 days of my life to be for nothing ugh.

P.S i use vortex, and it now says im missing the dead money.esm when its clearly in my fallout folder with all the other ♥♥♥♥, it never crashed before these last 5 mods (out of 328)

328 is way too many mods. The normal limit is around 130 to 140. Even with a work around to increase the mod limit with the engine, the absolute max is around 255

320 worked fine for me normal load times, no crashes ingame, it was only when i installed the final few that it fell apart

but i also understand 300s a bit much

I mean you could convert the mods into ESL's to make the mod limit 4000 but it's a lot of effort

Even if you get it loading and playing, the game simply cannot handle it and will cause major bugs and crashes. Not to mention that having that many mods even if the engine could handle it, has an extremely high chance of mods conflicting with eachother unless you know exactly what and how each mod changes and carefully read all the readmes and download corresponding patches for conflicts between mods

Sweet lord 320 mods????? What do you have and do you R E A L L Y need them installed?

Sorry, I didn't understand the problem well. Have you installed the incredible number of 328 mods and have taken over a whole day to do it? And after this the game does not work? It worked before? Did you use less mod until recently? If it really worked with 320 mods I congratulate you, it's the first time I see this thing! Are you sure you need them all? In my opinion it is better to do without something, starting to eliminate the last ones you have installed. Maybe removing only the last one, the game would work, but surely you are with a foot and a half beyond the limit. I don't think Fallout's engine, however much you can improve it, will ever manage to handle that much data. As in real life, you have to give up something.....

If your having Trouble with a Load Order limit there is a Fix mod on Nexus that I stumbled across a while back that fixes the Bug where you can;t mod New Vegas to 255. Otherwise 255 is the limit of any mods you can mod to a Modern Day Bethesda Game that supports Modding.

update I redid my entire pack and it works now just laggy from the dynamic lighting I assume its 203 mods anyway to fix laggyness without removing mods?
