[MOD] Dynamic Weather
"Dynamic Weather" is a small mod which implements a random chance to change the weather every now and then.

There are nine weather types ranging from nice and friendly to heavy and unfriendly.

There also is a FO3-Version which includes weather themes from Fallout 3.

The official DLC "Honest Hearts" is required.

See Nexus-Page for details and download[www.nexusmods.com].

Not too fond of some of those extreme weathers, but then I'm also the type that doesn't even like rain in his games.

Still, good job on the mod mate. :Upvoter:

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Fallout New Vegas Realistic Wasteland Lighting already does that. I think Ambient Temperature as well.

@Ladez
Thanks mate. :-)

And now no one else is allowed to try an entirely different aproach?
I know there are other mods, That doesn't really prevents me from doing sth different or better.
(If folks would think so, there wouldn't have ever been such a variety of mods.)

Agreed—the whole point of modding is to do what you prefer. Lots of mods exists that does much of the same things, this allows people to pick and choose exactly how they like their setup to be.

Seems pretty lightweight. I'd consider giving it a shot as long as there's no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ radiation storm like in fallout 4

Actually everything your mod does Realistic Wasteland Lighting does...no offense but you're not doing anything "different". But that's beside the point. I only brought it up because it's usually not a good idea to reivent the wheel, and I figured the only reason you made your mod was because you were unable to find another mod that did what you want. I'm not trying to say you shouldn't have made it or that it's not good. And believe me, it's annoying as ♥♥♥♥ to make a mod, only to find out later on someone made the exact thing. And everyone is ignoring the one you made, just because you're not as popular as a modder, though this other person's mod does the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing your mod does.

Yes, it's very lightweight. Most of the plugin aktually is used for debugging and disabled during gameplay. There's no RAD-Damage in yet. Maybe later.

Actually it is very different. Mine is dynamic, his one more static. His has very nice different weather types and heavily changes other stuff. Mine atm is tiny, only cares about weather transition and doesn't use Weather types, lights and what not, which are not vanilla (as of now).

It also is technically very different and it works completely different.
His has 14 scripts that do loads of stuff, mine has 3, while 2 of them are just for debugging and testing purpose, they are disabled and not running. Leaves only one simple script which just runs once every two minutes.

It’s like saying "Radio Active Channel Extender" and "CONELRAD Civil Defense Radio" are the same. But the only thing they have in common is that they both are radio stations. Beyond that, they are completely different things. They work different. They have a completely different approach.

I like the mod :)

My only gripe with it, just from looking at it, are the green weathers. I know New Vegas is post-apocalyptic and whatnot, but just a handful of bombs exploded around there. Ulysses even says in Lonesome Road that the skies of New Vegas are blue, IIRC. (Granted, I assume that these weathers are in the Fallout 3 style package.) It also looks (to my eyes) that you used some of the weathers directly from Fallout 3. If I'm wrong about that, I apologize, but if I'm right, I'm pretty sure you can't use assets freely between games and distribute them. If you made similar weathers from the ground up, though, that'd be fine.

Thank you. Yep, there are weathers taken from Fallout 3. But they are located in the FalloutNV.esm. New Vegas carries quite a lot FO3 assets in its masterfile. But you are right, the weather types are more apocalyptic than the friendly default weather of NV. The greenish weathers may be the 2 Camp Searchlight themes I used for the extreme weather. Then I used the Megaton struggle theme for the extreme heavy theme. This may change in later versions.

And just to point out, all FO3 weather themes used in the mod actually reside in the FalloutNV.esm itself.

Wow, okay. I had no idea New Vegas carried those over, of all things. Incidentally, I particularly like the weather you marked as "day 2" in the image section. I remember that one in particular from 3, and I think it looks really good in New Vegas. Thanks for the mod!
