They could also have enough business sense to know they each offer a differnet type of product and therefore can work together and come away with higher profits then working solo. They also deal in a number of under the table items which means they can sort of trust each other not to rat each other out.

Jeffrey Dahmer showed that you can be both gay and cannibal. They're not mutually exclusive.
