There is a simple fix but i can't for the life of me remember what it was.
Just extracted my version to have a look, this is straight from the mods FAQ;
Q: I click on the water tank plans but nothing shows up/a big exclamation mark shows up.
A: Make sure you're running the latest NVSE version (1.05 beta) and that you've unpacked the main file with its correct directory structure (includes a Meshes folder and a Sound folder).
Sorry it took so long to reply, job hunting.
Main directory where your .exe is for NVSE, not data file. Exract the mod to data file, if you have to (which is better) extract to a temp file or even desktop, then copy/cut and paste to your data file and overwrite all if it asks you.
Double click on the Launcher.exe, select Data Files and enable the mod, press ok and exit.
Then launch the game as normal, or open game install location and double click FalloutNV.exe
You can but sometimes it screws up. Manual install into NMM by putting the zipped file into where mod manager stores your mods, not to where it's installed, then just d/click the mod to install.
For me NMM is installed into Program Files x86, but the mod directory is in my games folder, thats just the way i set it up. I'm not sure what the default directory is.
Yes, unpack NVSE and put all the files, .exe into your main directory.
The only time you would un-pack a mod is if you're doing a manual install
All good, took me a while to figure it at first too.
I'm glad my 3000+ hrs in coming in handy :)
