No quicksave and load on Steam Deck?

Game is running fine but is there any way to enable quicksave and quickload when playing on Deck? Tried remapping buttons but f5 and f9 doesn't work.

Played bethesda games on the computer so i am not used to playing w/o it.

Controller disables those keys for some reason. I believe Stewie Tweaks can reenable the keyboard, while ur using a controller. You could also disable the controller and map keyboard controls to it manually.

You can replace the launcher exe with nvse's exe, that worked for me in the past. Or the 4gb patch should integrate it into the game exe. Or you can replace it with a mod manager like Wyre Bash, then use it to launch nvse. Wyre Bash seems to work well under wine. Anyways, what file format does the steam deck format to? ext4? Well, proton doesn't seem to like when 2 files or folders exist with the same name, but different case, it'll work just ignore the other ones. Bit annoying but keep that in mind. Theres probably a program out there to,... i guess you could just format a partition 32 gb's exfat or whatever you can spare, copy paste it there, and boom problem solved. Just thought i'd say that, Linux things not steam deck things.

You are a hero. Stewie Tweaks fixed the issue for me.
When installing it manually like I did you have to activate the according option in the .ini file.

Use Keyboard/Mouse In Gamemode While A Controller Is Connected - allow keyboard/mouse while a controller is connected (excludes menus)

Just quick search for "allowkey" and set the value from 0 to 1.
