Why was vault 17 cut from Fnew vegas?

I was browsing fallout lore on the wiki mainly cut content from FO4 and Fnew Vegas and FO3 and seen info about but not much vault 17 where lily came from and jimmy seeing that she calls the LW jimmy when they first meet so why was it removed instead of leaving it in just for lore and exploration?

Because its not in Nevada? Theres plenty of mentioned Vaults that arent in the game itself. There are 122 known vaults and America is absolutely massive so it makes sense that theire spread out. Vault 17 is most likely in California since Lily mentioned the Super mutants raided it. Its not cut from the game.

17 wasn't cut. It was just a mentioned vault. 24 however was a cut vault.
