Game runs at literal 10 FPS with a RTX 4080?!?
I cannot understand what's wrong here. Game runs like ♥♥♥♥ on one of the best gpus on the market, why is this happening? I literally get around 10 FPS in open areas.
I've installed a mod that fixes this and lets me run the game at 144 FPS, but it's unstable and it crashes really often, plus I have to deal with mod manager to launch the game and it's annoying. I just want to play FNV again and I can't because my PC is too powerful? Is there any way to fix this?

No, you will have to use mods. Its simply an issue with old games on modern hardware. If your modding setup works, use it. If not, use this guide and just install the recommended stability mods: https://vivanewvegas.github.io/

Follow the above guide. Your issue stems from the fact that this game doesn't allow the framerate to go over 60 without the use of NVTF which is included in the guide.

You'll need to go into your graphics control panel and set NV's frame limit to 60 fps. That's if you don't want to mod.

Thank you everyone for the help, yes I had already set up a mod organizer with the essential mods and now I'm following the video and the guide that were posted here. Hopefully everything will not crash but it seems promising already!
