Am i just gonna be bored the entire time?

Ive tried this game multiple times since it released but every time i just get so mind numbingly bored because of the boring wasteland travelling.

Does this end? Is there atleast one city that.. Fun?
And with fun i dont mean you get to enter a dinosaur and thats it kinda fun

You do know fast travel is a thing, right?
Have you tried talking to people, a lot of them have stuff that needs doing while you're out there walking in circles.

Yes i know fast travel
I have been talking to some guys had to shoot up a basement, released some captives
but besides that its just wasteland experience, ive tried looking for something fun all i found was a some blind killer monster charger guy and a random fireball killing me

get 10 str 10 luck 100 unarmed and bloody mess and punch the wasteland to death for the most fun playthrough. really though the fun is gonna be different for everyone. i personally adore this game. i know people that tried it and hated it. idk its what you want it to be especially with the robust mod scene

Fallout is a overrated trash franchise, Everything with the whole series is just wierd and goofy. Even Fallout 76 that came out in 2018 feels so janky like it was straight ported from PS3 lol

All the Bethesda fallouts (3,4,76) are janky and bad. New Vegas is janky and good.

Fallout 1 is still the best fallout game.

Give it time. I felt the same way about Fallout when it was newer. After a few years' distance from my first (unfinished) playthrough, I really began to enjoy the game playing it a second time. I've even been playing it unmodded this whole time, which is apparently haram. Looking at mods now though.

No the world here is fun to explore. I was going down a valley at edge of the map and excepted to hit dead end or something but instead found Cottonwood Cove around the bend...didn't except to see a town like this in NV. It is what this game is all about, exploration, talking to different NPCS and factions and making decisions as you go about the map. Don't overthink it. The really good writing and voice acting for all the dialogue doesn't hurt either. It was ahead of its time at release as well and still is compared to many other open-worlders. The gun play is fun as well and you have ♥♥♥♥ ton of weapons to try out - what more do you want?

New Vegas is an exemplar of non-linear RPG gameplay. Sure, it eventually has a main quest thread to follow to an end-game, but getting there can be as poorly defined as you like.

If you find yourself bored in New Vegas, dedicate yourself to the main story. Something in there should hook you.

you should look around the upper areas of the map like new vegas and such for me i had the same problem until i got around this area for me thats when the game started picking up
