Game won't start

Hello, i recently got the game through a gift my friend gave me, i activated it, installed it, but instead of it launching, it throws me in the Steam Store to buy the game again?

For some reason, trying to launch the game throws me to the store to buy the PCR version... Maybe it's the region lock thingey? But then again, why would it work when i activated the cd-key?

Those are two different games, you need the Ultimate Edition which cost a dollar and fifty cents if it was given a discount by the Steam Store.

Somehow the PCR was a Russian version which would probably censor everything that their government wants to censor: https://steamcommunity.com/app/22490/discussions/0/

The gift is unusable if it was a PCR version.

I thought that the PCR version was a Eastern European version, since my friends do have the PCR one (Polish, Czech, Russian) but for some reason, i managed to make the ROW version work finally, even tho i am in Czechia.

Same circumstances here, after trying all this: still nothing. I hit play in the small screen pop up or "launcher" maybe? Then nothing happens.
