Modding FNV even with simple Johnny Guitar or NVSE brakes game entirely.

Mainly the wasteland ground will be missing and will freeze game. wabbajack install list don't work either. absolutely doesn't make a bit of sense. i've played this game since i was kid and never had this issue modding it. Messing with any file in the directory brakes the game. Even BSA decompressor. brakes it. anybody know wtf is going on with this cursed piece of software.

RN no mods are installed and its broken only when launched through NVSE.

The game doesn't work well without a set of mods, you just didn't get all the required ones. Read the Viva New Vegas guide to get a stable start.

Wabbajack Capital Punishment works actually. If you add an extra mod like "hair-eyes-patcher. ♥♥♥♥ breaks.

Have you done a complete clean install, including manually deleting the New Vegas folder, and including re-installing all the prerequisites like the dx9 redistributables?

If you skipped any baseline steps in Viva, especially clean install and required files, you will experience problems.

I tried your suggestion, but it did nothing. I spawn in, what is supposed to be good springs. But the terrain is missing. So i spawn 500 miles below Good Springs, underwater. Whats weird, is that any mod will brake it. Iv'e reinstalled about 12 times. Installing the game only takes me 2 min. This game will only load correctly completely vanilla. You touch one thing, brakes. NVSE brakes it. BSA decompressor, Patch file, Anythi

I've done complete uninstall and install, deleting the entire folder along with the steam cashe. documents, "my games INI files" are deleted. I've deleted the Plugins list from appdata. I've been very thorough. I've been modding this game for years. I've been playing since i was 13. Now its just plain broken to point its cursed. ive followed viva from home to appindix

That's definitely cursed. I don't even have the slightest idea what would cause that aside from hardware bugs at this point.

Honestly I need to upgrade anyway. This 2070 super card I've had since release. I should get a 3080 now that its affordable. But everything else is new, I built this PC with MicroCenter only 4 months ago.
