Good legion builds?
I was thinking something like a missile launcher build or a Melee weapons and explosives build or maybe a legion VATS crazy gunslinger build?

Honestly theres so much of vanilla/DLC NV that I have yet to try, perks I have yet to take TBH.

If you want to really mess stuff up, do an unarmed build. Probably the most powerful build

Four Eyes would be incompatible with a Legion build. (cannonically speaking)

There's drill instructors threatening to throw children off of cliffs just for being too slow. Someone needing to wear glasses to see stuff would be viewed as inferior at minimum(more likely they would be viewed as deserving of death)

Its a cool/underrated perk imo, but Caesar is garbage so yeah

I disagree that Four Eyes doesn't work with Legion, because plenty of them wear sunglasses and sunglasses do count for it.

My first Legion build was explosives-based, which can be good for Arizona Killer since you can get the C4 to plant on the vertibird with an Explosives dialogue check.

-1 perception when not wearing glasses means one has worse base vision

Even if one has better vision when wearing glasses, Legion doctrine would treat that as indicative of inferiority/sign of weakness because the glasses are a requirement

Also doctrine states that additional equipment is only given to those who succeed in combat without any additional equipment (which means its highly unlikely any of the Legionaries who do wear sunglasses are wearing them because they have worse vision without them)

People talking about builds in this game is like seeing people talking about what 'build' they should be running if they're trying to beat Diablo 2 on normal.

I get what you're saying, but since a female Courier can complete a Legion run, they already bend the rules for her. I was just mentioning that aesthetically, you could use sunglasses and get the edge from the trait. But your reasoning is valid too!

Good question. Melee and unarmed sounds logical but I'm currently using one for my Mr House run. I've enjoyed it as my first playthrough but I do miss using guns, rather than just repairing and selling or equipping companions... (NB. Don't ever equip Lilly with Mini guns: I've had 2 disappear costing me nearly 15,000 caps in value).

I plan on joining the legion next time as soon as possible but don't wish to spend ages agonising over what my SPECIAL should be. It will be my 3rd run overall; this current one was to reacquaint myself with the game in general.

my idea is either a legion gunslinger+Explosives build or a melee and explosives build.
