Mods seem to break NPC greeting, they all have the same open conversation line(which is muted)
It even broke Mr house so he can't speak instead I get "what do you need?" and then it boots me back out of the conversation and the NPC voice lines are muted

Well, ya know, load order is important. Also, if you've recently added a mod and this happened, disable it and see if things go back to normal.

How are we suppose to know how to fix it if you don't post your mods?

My guess = NVR

If that ain't it then just disable any mod one by one that edits NPC dialogue.

Use FNVEdit to see which mod edits NPC dialogue as well to find the issue sooner.

You've got tons of outdated, broken, and incompatible mods - and all in a completely nonsensical order.

Don't just go on Nexus and download all the "most popular of all time" mods. You'll just break your game.

Nuke it and start from scratch, following Viva New Vegas, and skipping mods made prior to 2018ish.

  • Interior Lighting Overhaul - outdated, broadly incompatible. Conflicts with about half of the rest of your mod list. Use Simplified Interior Lighting Overhaul or better yet, Atmospheric Lighting Tweaks.
  • Beyond Boulder Dome - super outdated, super broken, super "will destroy your save over time".
  • Every single part of NVR (New Vegas Restoration) is long obsolete, mostly broken, and conflict heavy. Look into alternate, modern cut content mods instead.
  • Enclave Commander - very broken. Use JIP CCC and Mojave Squads, and maybe Claim The Mojave as partial alternatives.
  • Forge Beyond - avoid old weapon mods with LL integration like the plague. If you want more weapons, Classic Fallout Weapons Remastered and Another Milennia are the way to go.
  • Companion Infinite Ammo - breaks companion AI. Use JIP CCC instead.
  • Classic Mojave Adobe Buildings - assets are great, navmeshing and AI packages are broken (it says as much on the mod description page). Can cause crashes, and will need manual patching for many other mods. The smaller adobe overhauls like The 188 are much safer and better made.
  • Treasures of the Wastes - perks are broken, item integration done badly, heavily conflict prone.
  • All Weapon Sounds Overhaul - not broken per se, but hard edits basically ALL weapons in the game, which means it conflicts with and breaks any other mod that touches weapons. Use All Weapon Sounds Overhaul Modern Edition (AWSOME) instead.
  • Realistic Lighting - it's a weather mod, meaning it's conflicting with Altitude. Only use one weather mod at a time. Altitude is the better choice of the two, since it's newer and better made.
  • FOEPH - breaks dialog, and as with most companion mods is poorly made in general, can break quests and other behavior.
  • drag's NCR (and any other dragbody released) overhaul - bad meshes, can cause crashes. Scout has release some great retextures for both NCR and Legion, I recommend those instead.
  • My Little Pony New Vegas is Magic - no judgement, but just broken mod (again, as with most companion mods). Broken meshes and AI packages as well.
  • CASM - broken, doesn't actually fix vanilla save issues. Use Stewie's Tweaks and the save manager contained therein instead.
  • Weapon Mod Menu - obsolete. Use the functionality in Stewie's Tweaks instead.
  • Readius - all handheld pipboys can be crashy. Avoid, or use the 2500 with either Handheld Fixes or Universal PipBoy Customization. Readius is and always has been busted-ass nonsense.
  • Altitude - conflicting with RWL. Pick one or the other, preferably Altitude.
  • Caesar's New Regime - broken meshes (because dragbody), broken everything, conflict heavy and badly scripted. Also ancient.
  • Arizona Slave Army - conflicts with above. Not the greatest made mod out there, but serviceable as long as you avoid conflicts - and it is relatively conflict prone.

Most of what has problems is because they are old-ass mods that predate modern tools and knowledge. Some are bad (dragbody's) because they contain bad meshes that *will* crash the game and run the risk of corrupting your save. Some (often companion mods) break dialog throughout the game, break AI packages, and generally screw things up.

The majority of issues can be avoided by just avoiding mods made prior to the last 4-5 years, and especially avoiding large-scale overhauls from the very early days (2011-2014) as those are almost universally totally or partially broken.

You may want to wait on most of the someguy2000 mods until the remasters are complete. Currently only NVB1, New Vegas Killer, and Bad ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are finished (these are the LE versions on the Nexus), but they are heavily bugfixed and have had a lot of polish added.

oh damm. thats a shame, since Ceaser new regime and NCR trooper overhaul had some pretty awesome lookin armor sets and the like(I also liked how it made the legion seem more menacing)

So what are the alternatives you suggest?

As for FOEPH Blackjack and the various fallout Equestria Project Horizons characters are some of my Favorite fallout/Fallout Equestria characters with blackjack being my favorite protagonist.

Also damm I wanted to play boulder dome cuz it was a cut part of van burean
thanks BTW
mind if I add you to talk about NV mods?
