1) Save the game before you do anything
2) Open the console and then click the door with the mouse
3) Type "unlock" without quotes
4) Exit the console
5) Save the game
6) Exit and restart the game so that you can obtain achievements again
In NV there are places where the door you want to open can't be accessed from the side of the door you are on. You have to find a way around to the other side and open it from there. That sometimes requires you to go to a different level of the building or vault and work your way back to the opposite side of the door.
then you'll be here bad-mouthing the devs for their "broken" game , when all along it's you who broke it
needless to say , find the key , let the story play out as it was designed to
just play the game , you bought it ,play it , you only cheat yourself , figure it out , rather than just bypassing ,
you are so worried about the achievements and making sure you can get them after using the console , but think ,,,, you cheated , you dont deserve the achievement ,
but i guess , thats how it works today , cheat , lie , get the reward ,
A cheater in a game doesn't make a cheater in real life. That's an assumption that is not always true. It's easy to break the game with the console yea, but something like breaking it by unlocking a door can be easily fixed by loading an older save or going back and relocking it with 255. Just saying.
Gotta agree with this.
