Random NCR MP attacking me?

I'm on the freeside, and im doing the quest, GI BLUES, while doing this quest, a random NCR MP trooper will attack me and say something along the lines of, "Nobody ♥♥♥♥♥ with the NCR, now you die" I have no clue why this is happening, I am idolized by the NCR and have done nothing wrong. Is it because im working with mr house? I have't failed "Dont Tread on the Bear" Does anyone know why?

I see this issue a lot and I think it's a glitch that just happens. I'm not sure how you could fix it but you can try leading the MP to the Strip Gate or a area that attacks NCR like the fiends. Won't fix it but it'll kill the MP without loosing rep.

It's an error in the reputation script. It uses the Good rep value (1) instead of the Bad (2).
YUP fixes it.

Thanks, I shot the dude and he turned back to friendly but died to one of my companions, I didn't lose any rep tho.

I dont think its a bug.
So at back of vegas where ncr office is and where that general fella that hates the king is, outside there is 1 ncr that will approach you if you too close to him and say pay up caps if you wanna walk freely around.
I never pay so few attack me for a fist fight. Ofc companions kill him and thus the security attacks me
I loaded the save,never approached the guy and went into the office
Next thing i know the dude comes in says im dead man and starts attacking him.

At the end just kill the bastard,who cares
