Dead Money Ruined Store Shortcut

I was hearing Dean to use the hole in the wall which ended up being on middle rooftop, then followed the available path. One side went quite further from the objective to the switching station then the other goes to hole that was covered by trees. After checking the wiki, it is supposed to be the shortcut to the Ruined Store, which is closer to the objective. Weird thing is that I couldn't jump over it and always fall whenever I tried. Console for collision do work, but I wonder whether it can be walked normally since the wiki doesn't mention console requirement?

It's not possible to get in that way. In the tree there's a collision sphere blocking the way.

so there are no actual shortcuts for Dean and the rooftop is just for the switching station?
