where are my screenshots

whenever i press the screenshot key is says screenshot saved as screenshot(number).bmp. But I can;t find them anywhere in my Steam screenshots or in my files. Does anyone know where they might be

They're saved in the game's installation folder. You need to use the dedicated Steam screenshot key to have them appear in Steam. It's F12 by default.

Where is the installation folder? I have a folder under steam and a folder in my document and neither of them have screenshots

It's not in your documents, it's a subfolder of Steam's installation folder. Usually this:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas

You can get there from your library: right-click game -> Properties -> Local files -> View local files

You can get there from the game's steam library properties under the local files heading by clicking the "browse local files..." button.

rightclick game in library>click properties>click local files>click browse local files...

Are you pressing PrintScreen or F12 when you screenshot

Unless you have disabled your ability to F12 screenshots, try here
