Vault 22
I am totally lost in Vault 22 right now. I am down on food processing by the locked door, and I don't know what I am supposed to do to unlock it, or what to do once open. Pls

Hey Lord Vlad - sorry to hear you have problems with Vault 22. Its a confusing puzzle and once again the local game map is pretty useless. On the plus side if you haven't already noticed the combat is easer than in some of the other vaults. One negative here is that Vault 22 is huge and there is another agent at work who you may have to deal with depending on who you got your quest from.

So - with that preamble - if you can repair the elevator and head down to the Pest Control level your exploration will be much easier then relying on the stairs.

My first time through here took many tries and frustrations.

Just stay calm and watch your back.

Once again I got so busy playing with my word processor that I forgot to answer your question. There is an entire series of caves linked to Vault 22 the entrance to which is a sealed door requiring a computer key card (findable in the crew quarters) to enter. Lots of ways to go and combat in the caves but there is an exit to the blocked room where a specific quest item is stored in a locker. Also if you happen to be looking for data rather than an item there's the other agent to be found down in the cave labyrinth.

As a side note if you are using energy weapons there's a unique plasma rifle to be found in a blocked stairwell.

It's a laser rifle, not a plasma rifle.

Thank you for the help, I got this vault cleared now. However, ED-E did most of the work... But good for me

It's almost like hunting with a dog: you let it track down and target all of the prey, and you just shoot at it from afar
