How to pick a lock on "Very Easy"?
It must be easy to pick a lock, but I can't seem to do it. What is the secret. Also, How do I get the player to run faster? He is so slow even on run. TX

hold a or d a little less. The more it turns and the less the lockpick shakes, the closer you are to the right spot.

Its sort of a logical deduction game.

You chose a starting postion then try and turn and see the results.

When it gets shaky you release the spin lock key and if you see the lock turn some it gives you a hint your nearish the right spot.

From there you chose one direction from a failed attempt and see if the results are better or worse to tell if your moving in the right direction or if you over shot.

Also something I found is that if you back off when things get shaky you tend to have about 3 attempts before picks start breaking, meaning if you find nothing useful you can back off and reset the mini game if you want to save on bobby pins.

Where the PC gets the screw drive though is a mystery.

same place they keep the tools to strip parts from weapons and perform maintenance on them in the field, the screwdriver is probably part of the set, rather.

EDIT: also, i just realised, i dont think there are any instances of screwdrivers that you can find in the world. the only one you see in-game is the lockpicking one. i think, i may be horrendiously wrong.

@OP your movement speed is determined by your agility, higher=faster, there are also a couple perks you can take to improve your movements speed, some are in general, some are for specific circumstances.

however if you press "Q" without touching WASD, your character autoruns in whatever direction you are facing, you can turn the mouse to steer them as well. pressing Q or any of WASD stops the autorun.

My problem now is that I sold all my bobby pins and can't hack the lock. The guy that I sold them to in"Primi??" has left town, and no one else seems to have them. Dam!

If you mean Johnson Nash, he lives in the Mojave Express building with his wife. He's the only person that sells things there. He's either in the Vicky & Vance casino or the Mojave Express building depending on whther you took care of the powder gangers.

Don't bother selling bobby pins in the future. You can buy them from vendors for the awe inspiring price of 1 cap each. Monetarily they're worthless.

who would sell bobby pins? i mean they don't sell for much and you need them....

how deeply are you roleplaying this game as being shot in the head?

Ok, I think I have the lockpick figured out. Thanks for all the help. On my computer, I get a clicking sound to avoid. I also quick save before the attempt, just in case. TX again.
