Problem if I never finished Cold, Cold Heart?

So, on my latest playthorugh, curse this restartitis, I realized I never "spread word of Legion atrocities." I didn't realize it until recently. I didn't see Vulpes after I left the Lucky 38, but it had been a while since I last did that quest, so I didn't think much of it. It's been about 12 hours since Nipton, and 5 since I first visited Lucky 38 and talked to Mr. House, so reloading would be a bit annoying. I tried going back to the Ranger Station and finishing the quest, but Vulpes didn't show up at the Lucky 38 afterwards. Will this be a problem? I had no plans of joining the Legion, nor have I on my other characters, but if this cuts off any quests that I could do without making a commitment to the Legion.

In the meantime, I'll work on my melee/unarmed character.

just go to the mojave outpost and talk to some of the soldiers there, you should be able to finish it.

and make sure you have tried everyone. theres a guy, killsomthing, who walks around the statues and down the hill a bit, i remeber telling him about it and it finished the quest..

Sargeant Kilborn, yes. I talked to him and that completed the quest, but Vulpes never showed up to give me the summons to see Caesar.

Fairly sure its not until you deal with Benny that the legion agent aproaches you.

Or atleast leaving tops with the chip was when the spy showed up since the Vulpes had long prior died screaming in incindiary grenade ammo for his crimes.

Pretty much. You're not going to get the summons until you reach a point in the game where you're on the boad as a player in the race to control New Vegas. Until then Caesar could care less who you are.

There's no need to finish Cold Cold Heart and plenty of reason to not propagate Legion propaganda.

Ah okay, loaded up the save and Vulpes showed up after I dinished Ring A Ding Ding. I was thinking he showed up around the same time as the Legion trooper who sends you to the ambassador, since he came to me after I left the Lucky 38 the first time. Cheers.
