Another Fallout game by Obsidian Entertainment?

Forgive me for asking a silly question, but I've been out of the loop for a while with regards to Fallout. Is there any information on the next Fallout game made by them, or is there no chance of that? Thanks.

You guys need to stop. Bethesda isn't gonna let someone show them up at their own game again.

We all can only speculate. What we all know is that Bethesda is going to release the last Fo4 DLC in August this year, so we won't see anything Fallout-related from them in a while. What we also know is that Obsidian are currently busy developing their new game "Tyranny" which appears to be pretty big, leaving no sufficient capacity to create an AAA-RPG from scratch until they are done with that one and possible other projects (like PoE2). IF they were to be contracted to do another one, we wouldn't get to see it for years to come, and as we all know it's not guaranteed to happen in the first place. I'm not exactly holding my breath, but a part of me deep inside is still hoping for it.

That twitter post didn't say anything that says that they couldn't make another one, just that they're not working on it. Eh, maybe we'll be lucky.

It was posted in response to someone who thought that the photo Sawyer shared was indication that they're working on a new Fallout title. I don't know where you got the "couldn't make another one" part from.

That's the point, I'm glad that it simply says they're not working on another, not that they can't make another. Hense the "maybe we'll be lucky" part.

I would prefer them not to make another Fallout, or at least as long as Bethesda holds the IP. The vision of what they wanted to do was far too comprominsed in the action format. A proper Fallout title demands an isometric perspective.
